Meet Winter

5 year old Miniature Poodle (expected life span of Min Poodles is 15 years)
She is under 15 pounds.
Ok on leash and crate trained.
Foster mom told us the following:
"Winter is super sweet! She is a bit nervous around big dogs, so she prefers a home with dogs under 20 pounds if at all.
She does awesome with my pug! After getting over her initial nervousness in her foster home, Winter is playful with the resident Pug. She gets so excited when it’s walk time, and is super great with women especially! She freezes up a little with men, but she warmed up pretty quick to my boyfriend, but still won’t cuddle him for very long.
She really likes having her own hidy-hole, but she will come out and play if you just say her name! She loves dinner and breakfast time! She’s really great with potty pads if you don’t catch that she is asking to go out. She has only had two accidents in the house and they were both on the pad, and it was my fault for not seeing her!
Last is that she does rush out the door if you try to walk out. Just keeping one eye on her and she stays put. Plus she doesn’t run far, she thinks it’s a game, and will come back if you just walk the opposite direction
But she’s doing awesome! I just wanted to let you know!"
In terms of children, winter would be most happy with young people 16 or older. Her ideal home is with adults only. Very young children of course want to cuddle and pick her up. With her current for foster mom she’s happy to get up on the couch and being next to her, but we think she would prefer her not being picked up by young children
