Meet Winston!

Don’t let the grayish whiskers fool you…he’s a 2.5 year old Lab/Great Dane with energy for days when he’s outside, but ready to snuggle with you inside. He’d be perfect for a moderately active family with long walks or lots of playing in the yard. Then he’s ready to sack-out and relax the rest of the day.

At about 75 pounds he’s a big boy, but very easy going. He leans in for loves the second he meets anyone… Great with adult and kids, even people on walks or out and about on the town.

His current foster family has two children, two dogs, and a cat. He fit in immediately. He loves to play with the other dogs and chase balls/toys around the yard. On walks he has been very obedient on leash, even when he’s curious about what’s going on or who he sees. He knows a few basic commands, but loves treats and is eager to learn.

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
