This dapper fellow is Winston. A beautiful Pointer mix wrapped into a 55 pound, 4-year-old frame. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster's care and enjoys car rides and long, leashed walks.
In typical pointer fashion, Winston will require a home with a fenced in yard to keep him safe from wandering. He loves to snuggle once he's comfortable with you but prefers it on his terms; much like his mealtime. He's a dog that dines alone -which is why we seek a home with either no children or children over 12 who understand his body language when he's asking for space.
Winston is looking for a home where someone knows how to use the word "no". Where gentle boundaries are in place for a dog like him that will sometimes push them. He needs a home where someone has met a dog like him before and understands that he's begging for stability, independence, a purpose and most of all, a family.
With time, this monochrome beauty will prove that not only was he worth the investment of time in training, but also the chance you took to give him a home.
