Winston is goofy, funny, and is a good couch dog for petting. He will greet you happily with a wagging tail when you come home and he wants to be wherever people are. He will often roll over for belly rubs at visitors feet! He is very expressive with his eyes. And it is SO cute when he naps in a tight coil on the couch near you in the evening. After a looong day of belly rubs and running around, Winston will spend the night in his crate.
You won't be able to tell from his happy tail now, but Winston had a bit of a rough start as a pup. He was found tied to a 4' x 4' front porch without much space to move around and standing in his own mess. Despite his sad beginnings, he's a wonderful, happy, friendly boy hoping to find a family who shares these traits. He is very loyal to his family.
Winston is a dog who loves to run. He plays very well with other dogs off-leash, and consistently gets glowing reviews from the staff of the doggy day camp he attends every week. They always comment about how well-behaved he is and how much fun he is to have around. The vet also says Winston is well-mannered, obedient, and cooperative when he’s there. After a long day of playing in a pack at camp, he sleeps very well. Dog parks are fun for him, too. When playing with humans, he prefers tug-of-war to fetching. He also enjoys long walks where he can sniff out animals, and car rides with his head out the window.
