According to his papers, Winston is a Victorian Bulldog. He and his son, Cooper, have lived their entire lives in the summer heat and winter cold in a outdoor kennel/pen In rural SC. They had little/no vet care. Then one day, their neglectful owner wanted them gone.
He loves people, especially children. Winston is a very good boy who knows some commands. He will sit, shake, lay down (if you put your finger on the floor) and will roll over. Winston walks well on a leash and loves to play tug of war. He is not fond of water or cats and absolutely HATES balloons! His absolute favorite snack ever is the cheap Alpo snaps. If you tell him you have cookies, you will see how happy he can be and how fast Winston will sit and lift his paw to shake for one. He gets along with other dogs.
Both Winston and Cooper have been transported to the DC metro area. HT is getting them all vetted, neutered, and fixed up like new. Winston is looking for a person or family of his very own. Please apply to adopt Winston today!

You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please check out our information about fostering.
