My name is Winnie. Well, Winnie unless I am being stubborn… then it’s Winifred.

Love my humans (even if they call me Winifred) and I am as loyal as can be… so loyal I will probably follow you into the bathroom during your bathroom routine to spend more time with you. Hope that’s cool. Speaking of personal space. I am working on that. I didn’t have a lot of dog friends when I was really, really young (I’m currently 7 months old). I am still learning how to socialize, respect boundaries, and how to share. It’s a lot of stuff to learn but I am super motivated and know it will be good to learn these things because I really want to have some dog friends. Looking for forever humans who will help me work on that too. Cats. Meh. I don’t think we will be friends. They look like large squirrels. Probably going to chase a cat if I am being really honest. Love to run and love to make my humans laugh. I’m not a scientist or anything but I am pretty sure I was a gazelle in a past life. Big fan of wind aerobics; it’s a lot of core work with catching leaves as they fall, dancing in the breeze, tossing toys in the air and such. Love a good bathroom schedule. Apartment life is a maybe; my inner Winifred comes out when I am in my crate for the first ten minutes so not sure. Love calm, caring, confident leadership in my humans. And finally, love that I get this opportunity to share about me so that I can hopefully meet you, my forever humans.

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.

Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown.

Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 90-mile radius of Minneapolis; however, we will consider up to 250 miles if the applicant is willing to drive to cities as needed.
