Meet Windsor:: 90 pounds, ~6 years old, Neutered Male German Shepherd Dog.

Available for Adoption!

This good boy was abandoned along with his friend, Freya (adopted). We believe he and Freya were used for breeding and then discarded. While they were both in rough shape, poor Windsor suffered with a list of ailments and infections that we have had treated at our vet. Windsor is feeling great now and has put on some healthy weight. Windsor is a wonderfully sweet and intelligent boys who is so loving and affectionate!

We had a full blood panel and hip and spine x-rays done for him, because of his size, age and tendency for this breed to have issues in these areas, but he is in GREAT shape, perfectly healthy, with appropriate spacing in his spine and ZERO hip dysplasia, arthritis or any issues at all! He is housebroken and does well with other dogs. He is not a fan of the crate but he will settle and go to sleep after a little while. He is a very gentle boy with everyone he meets, however, any children in the home should be experienced/dog savvy and at least 5 years old.


$145 Adoption Fee.

A $10.00 non-refundable application fee is required to submit your adoption application and will be deducted from your adoption fee if you adopt.

All Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, heartworm tested, current on heartworm and flea prevention, and microchipped.

Along with other criteria evaluated in the adoption application, a Fenced Yard is required to adopt.

Our adoption area, unless otherwise specified in their bio, is within a two hour radius of Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue for adult dogs, and within a one hour radius for puppies.

Adoption events are held every Saturday in our thrift store from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Please complete your adoption application in advance so our volunteers have time to screen and contact potential adopters.

IMPORTANT: All applications are reviewed in the order they are received and qualifications are based on best fit for each individual pet. A volunteer will contact you if you are selected for a meet with adoptable pet. Final approval is always made in person.
