Wilma *Long Term in Rescue* Chihuahua Plainfield, IL

Wilma is a barker, whenever she is at a meet n greet, she barks and barks telling us all the story of her people. We entered her in a barking dog contest and when it was her turn on stage, not a woof, bark, was produced. Dead silence. We had such high hopes for her that day. Wilma's tongue hangs out to one side as she has lost all her teeth due to poor dental health. Gives her character and sass.

Children and large dogs send shivers up her spine, so adults only with other friendly littles is preferred. Wilma would probably enjoy being the Queen of the Castle with all your attention focused on her.
We brought the two dogs into the rescue from the shelter where they had been returned 2 times after having been surrendered. They are not apartment dwellers. They will drive you and your neighbors nutz if living in an apartment. They sound the security alarm with every noise, door closing, voices in the hall, ect.

Wilma needs a home with a backyard to play in safety. This become evident after returning to the shelter a third time. You are guaranteed to not be slain by intruders, overtaken by the Amazon driver, or have your property perimeter breach with these two on guard at the front window. Their stage of alertness will make you think they were trained military guard dogs protecting the wire. Speaks to their loyalty to their people and need to protect them.
