Willow German Shepherd Dog Chesterfield, MO

Willow came to us a few months ago, along with her litter of pups (you may have seen them as the "coffee" litter). All the littles have found homes of their own, and Willow is ready to find her forever family too.

Willow is approximately 2-3 years old. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and parasite prevention.

When you first meet Willow, she struggles a bit with trusting you - this sweet girl was living outside fending for herself and her pups as a stray, and not everyone was kind to them. But if you give her some time to settle in, she will be your loyal shadow. Willow is looking for an easy going home where she will have the time and space to adjust to her new family and routine, but will also need someone to help her build confidence and become the best dog she can be. Willow was recently started in a doggy day care play group and she LOVES it. We suspect having another dog in the home may help with her confidence and adjustment, and would love to see her have a canine friend. Willow has not yet been tested with cats.

Willow may be a flight risk at first, so we would recommend a secure fenced yard or double leashing when walking. We haven't seen her show much interest in playing yet, but are hopeful that in a home she will come out of her shell and be more comfortable with that. Sometimes we see a whole new dog after a few weeks of decompression and bonding!

We do not recommend a home with small children, as they may be a bit much for her timid nature.

Our Adoption Fees:

*Dogs and puppies 12 months old or younger: $450

* Adult dogs over 12 months of age: $400

* Senior dogs over 7 years of age qualify for our "Seniors FUREVER" program! Seniors are special to us, so we offer two options:

(1) If your heart has a special place for the seniors, you can adopt a senior dog for the regular adoption fee of $400 and this becomes a perpetual fee. You can adopt another SGSDR senior dog at any time from us in the future at NO CHARGE.
(2) If you aren't sure about your future adoption capacity, you may adopt your SGSDR senior dog for a reduced adoption fee of $250.
