Meet Willis

Willis is ready to share his story!

Only a puppy still and unwanted. Still so young but yet I have seen cruelty. From being shot at to almost losing my life because some people did not want me around. To ending up in rescue where they found an open wound on me. One that was already filled with maggots and was quite ugly looking. To landing in an awesome foster home, getting my wound cleaned and stitched up. And finally to starting the search for my forever family.

This has been my story so far. My life may have not started out great, but now it is wonderful! Everyone who sees me falls in love, and I just know that I will soon be with my forever family!

My name is Willis and I am a 10 week old, 10lb male Great Pyrenees mix. I am thinking that I may have some Husky mixed in me as well. I am estimating that I will get somewhere in the 70lb range. Could be a little more, maybe a little less. My goal today is to have you fall in love with me, so let us get started!
____________________________________________________________________

The thing about adopting is you should not do it unless you are absolutely ready. That means you can commit to me for the rest of my life. I am going to be so loyal to my family, and I ask the same in return!

To help make the decision process easier, I had my foster family fill out this questionnaire for me!

-How does your foster act when meeting new people?
Excited.

-Has your foster been to any public settings?
Yes, and he was playful.

-Does your foster like going on walks?
Not yet, we have a massive yard that he plays in.

-Is your foster leash trained?
No.

-How does your foster do on car rides?
Excellent.

-Does your foster jump on people?
No, he can't jump. lol.

-Describe your foster dog's energy level?
Playful and cuddly.

-Is your foster a big chewer?
No.

-Does your foster like to play fetch?
No.

-Does your foster like to play in the water?
Unsure.

-Does your foster play with Toys?
Yes.

-Does your foster have food aggression?
No.

-Does your foster resource guard?
No.

-Do you think your foster would be okay with free-roam of the house even if you are away?
Yes.

-Is your foster potty trained?
No.

-Is your foster kennel trained?
No.

-Where does your foster stay when no one is home?
Free to roam the house

-Where does your foster sleep at night?
On the floor as he gets hot easily.

-Would your foster dog do good in an apartment?
Yes.

-Is your foster a big barker?
Not at this time.

-Is your foster good with other dogs?
Yes.

-How does your foster act around other dogs?
Playful.

-Does your foster need another dog in his new home?
Preferred.

-Is your foster good with cats?
Yes.

-Is your foster good with kids?
Yes, he has been around kids ages 7 and 9.

-What would be your foster's ideal home?
He is a baby so is always looking for someone to play with. He would do best with a sibling since he was separated from his at such a young age. He is pretty sedentary but loves to play with any and all animals. Great with kids, cats, and other dogs.

-What else can you tell me about your foster?
Willis is a fluffy squish who loves to be cuddled and be next to his people. His favorite partner is his current Frenchie sister. They wrestle and rough house regularly since he is her size (at the moment). He loves to eat. If food is in a bowl, he is going after it. He is not potty trained yet but is quick to use the bathroom when he is taken outside. He loves to go on car rides and get lots of attention. He is fond of all cats and dogs and wants to play with everyone. He is a hard sleeper and sleeps like a rock at night. He drags his back feet when he walks and thuds around the house until he drops to a plop. He is the sweetest chunk!

Now that you know everything there is to know about me, it is time to talk logistics!

-How can someone adopt me?
The first step is to fill out an adoption app for me at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app

Once this app comes in, it will get sent on to my foster family and they will help me decide if we are a match or not.

-Where are you being fostered?
I am being fostered in Claremore, OK.

-Would I need to come to pick you up?
Yes, you would need to pick me up. This rescue does not send us on transports. It is less stress on us that way. Plus, you and I can already start bonding on the road trip home! ?

-Can I adopt you even though I don't live in Oklahoma?
Yep, I am not opposed to living in another state!

-How much is your adoption fee?
My adoption fee is $275.

That includes two sets of puppy shots and wormings. I will also have had a bordetella. I will be micro-chipped, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.

Now you have heard from me, my foster family, and the rescue. So, I guess now the only question is....Will you listen to your heart and welcome me home?

XOXO
Willis ♥
