Meet Willie

Willie and Waylon were found together as strays, matted, dirty and in need of rescue. These extra large floofy boys are around 2 to 2.5 years old and we believe they are Sheepdog and Poodle mixes. They were so matted, they had to be shaved and heavily groomed. Willie normally has shaggy sheepdog fur and will need regular grooming and brushing to keep his coat under control. Willie is active, friendly, and playful. He is a loving boy with some spunk in his step and loves to play and run around in our Ranch's big play yard. He would love a home with some space where he can run and play in true Sheep Dog and Poodle fashion. We are looking for a family who will be consistent and firm with his training and who will maintain rules for Willie. He is a lovely young boy who did not have guidance or rules in his young life and is learning them now. He can be a bit mouthy when he gets excited so we suggest until he gets that under control no small children. He is wonderful on leash and loves his daily walks. He is an active boy and would benefit from a yard or at least 2 walks or a run everyday. Waylon would do best with more active families that can handle their large size and energy. He likes to chase smaller animals so would not do best in a home without a cat. He is good with dogs that match his energy, especially female dogs. He can play a bit strong and rough so he is learning to play more gently. He has come a long way and now knows some commands, listens well and loves attention.
