Meet Will

Will is a 1-year old, 42 lb male, Retriever mix.

Will is currently located in South Texas and will be transported to his new home.

This is Will, and he has a sad story to tell. Will and his sister were fending for themselves on the streets as tiny puppies, only a few months old. A rescuer fed them while trying to find a foster home, but one day Will was attacked by a pack of stray dogs. He was rushed to a vet and treated for his injuries, and his rescuer kept him safe, but the friendly puppy became a timid pup. Will initially only felt safe around his sister, but now in a new foster home he has adjusted and is friendly with the gentle senior dog, so he would do fine with a calm and gentle doggy friend. He is crate trained and his experienced foster home has helped him become potty trained too. Will is a sweet and gentle dog, with a beautiful black coat with golden streaks (to match his golden eyes), but he would require a person with a kind heart, a patient personality and the time to allow Will to bond and learn what life as a family dog can be. Will is generally a timid pup but has become very fond of his foster mom, and has also accepted his foster dod, so he is making progress in trusting people. He has even learned to enjoy the company of young children. He would do best in a quiet home where he is allowed to explore and nudged gently into the future. Quiet and shy dogs can blossom beautifully with kindness and with time, so if you are blessed with both, please consider this sweet boy. He would be forever grateful to you.
