Wilfred Belgian Shepherd / Malinois Mix Cypress, TX

I'm Wilfred and my foster parents say I am the sweetest boy. I wandered up to their yard without a collar, looking for some water and was so happy to have a safe place to lay my head. I slept for almost 24 hours the first day! Neighbors say they have seen me wandering for a couple of months and I am ready to have a loving place to call my forever home.

I LOVE pets on the head and ear scratches, which I get lots of while I practice perfecting my "sit". I have some puppy energy left which is perfect for walks around the neighborhood or adventures. I have been practicing walking on a leash and I don't pull unless I see an occasional cat run across the street.

I might bark a few times if someone walks past my yard, but I like to keep to myself on walks and I did such a great job at the vet even though it was noisy and full of strangers. I am also really good at making the perfect cozy spot to lay down with my blankets and have been doing a great job sleeping in a crate at night.

I am friendly with dogs and eager to play but haven't gotten a chance to really romp around yet while I recover from being neutered. I am potty trained and very motivated by food to learn new tricks. I'm just happy to have consistent meals, and have never shown any resource guarding or aggression, just tail wags when you bring me my breakfast and dinner!
