Wile E. Coyote German Shepherd Dog Chicago, IL

Wile E. Coyote is a German Shepherd with a ton of personality - we call him ‘Wiley’ and he’s been an awesome addition to his foster family’s pack. Wiley is 5 years old and weighs in at 85 pounds. He ended up at the shelter as a stray and his family chose not to reclaim him. Wiley has adjusted well to living with a female GSD in his foster home. He is incredibly sweet and loves to meet people. Wiley doesn’t show any sort of negative reaction to new people or dogs. He is incredibly smart and knows basic commands well. He knows sit, stay, shake, down and drop it. Wiley loves walks, fuzzy toys, sticks, snow, swimming and fetch. He has not been placed in a crate during his foster time and has done quite well free roaming the house.

Wiley has hip dysplasia in his left hip. Sometimes he is sore after intense playing and needs to take it a little easier so he doesn’t get hurt. He has been prescribed pain killers as needed - he was evaluated and does not require surgery. He will need to be kept on joint supplements and at a lean weight. Small children might not do well with Wiley as he has not been tested around kids and can get easily excited.

Overall, Wiley is an incredible dog and will make a great companion and will quickly become a member of your pack. He makes hilarious noises, loves to ‘sing’ with ambulances, is a big cuddler, and loves to sit on your feet. His foster family loves him dearly and is excited for his goofy self to find an incredible forever home!
