Whisky Shepherd Mix Houston, TX

Whisky is a 56lb shepherd mix and approximately 1 1/2 years old. He was found as a stray with a pack of 2 other dogs. He is currently lives in a foster home and these are the notes from his foster mom:
“Whisky is a wonderful dog! He is very calm and gentle. He does not like to be confined, though and gets a little anxious so we are working on crate training him and he’s doing much better. He is never aggressive. He is fine to be left alone inside and is not destructive or try to get at anything on the counters. He is not food aggressive. He is submissive and rolls on his back. He walks great on a leash and does not pull on you. He chases a thrown ball, but does not fetch it (maybe he’s never had anyone to play with him). I haven’t found a treat or a toy he likes, except for a stuffed animal. He likes to be petted, brushed, and sleep outside in a breezy patio or inside. He is a joy!!”

Whisky would do best in a home as an only pet with no small children. He is very dog selective and only gets along with very calm and submissive dogs.
