Whiskey Husky Springfield, MO

Give me a "shot"! My name is Whiskey and I have a wonderful "spirit"! I am a 2 year old, 50 pound husky mixed gal with all the wonderful husky personality traits! I love love walks, long sticks and long chew sessions with my toys! I especially love my pink elephant that I carry around with me. Sometimes I like to grab my leash and carry it around as a reminder that I am ready to go! However, I am still working on not pulling so hard especially when I see a squirrel! A no-pull harness helps a lot! I know the commands of sit', 'lay down', 'paw', 'up', and can even go 'through the legs' for a treat! I am very smart and treat motivated. I haven't been kid tested, but I do have lots of energy so I might easily knock little ones over without meaning to. I would be a great running, hiking or walking companion for someone who has an active life style. Playing in water is one of my favorite activities and I love a good game of fetch! I do love my people and one of my most favorite things to do is to curl up by my humans after I am doing playing for the day. I also get along with other dogs and cats (after introductions). I will need a home with a fenced yard and people who want to spoil and love me for the special gal that I am. I have loads of personality and just one look at me will make you feel all warm inside!

I love:

-watching the birds and squirrels outside
-big chew toys and bones
-my blanket
-butt scratches
-splashing in water
-car rides
-pup cups
-visiting with all the neighbors now that I know them
-baths


I don't like:
-high stress/new situations like the vet or crowded areas
-returning stolen socks
-strangers
-the vacuum

We could all use a shot of Whiskey sometimes!



Can Whiskey's bio be updated to mention that she does do well with cats? She has not had any issues with my two, but they were all very wary and vocal towards each other for the first 2-3 weeks.
Whiskey is also in doggy daycare and loves playing with dogs her size. She also does well with my small (15lb) dog and my parents' small dog.
She is socializing a lot more since being at doggy daycare and with our neighbors.
She is still training, but can 'sit', 'lay down', 'paw', 'up', and can even go 'through the legs' for a treat! Super smart and treat motivated.
Loves baths and car rides and big chews!


My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
