Whiskey Mountain Cur & Plott Hound Mix Williston, FL

Whiskey is an amazing animal. She is also one of our longest-term residents, having just passed her 1 yr anniversary at WAG. She is thought to be a Cur Mix or Plott Hound mix and is estimated at around 4 yrs old. Whiskey is extremely athletic and one of the fastest dogs we have seen. She is high energy and would excel in sports, tracking, hiking, dock diving or many other activities. She is fine being around other dogs but does not always play well with them so she would be best as the only dog in a home. She also does not do well with cats. She would benefit by being fostered in the right home just to give her a break from kennel life and see how she does in a home environment. It's also possible that Whiskey would be calmer in a home environment. She thrives on human attention and companionship as well as activity and interesting things to see and do. She has been at the rescue for too long and is a bit frustrated. She will need an experienced handler. Please talk to us about fostering Whiskey if she sounds like a fit for you. The kennel environment can be hard on most all dogs, so a break would be so healthy for her. In the right experienced hands, she would be a gift.
