Whiskey German Shepherd Dog & Hound Mix Madras, OR

Whiskey came in as a owner surrender as they weren't able to keep him any longer. He is 2 years old and a German Shepherd/Hound mix and weighs 77 pounds. He is a very sweet boy but he is intimidating at first when you meet him. He will bark thro the fence and try to be tough but once inside he is a love bug. He loves to play ball and frisbee! He is scared of thunderstorms and will hide under the bed and shake. He is nervous around new people until he knows you won't hurt him. Loves playing with rubber, and rope toys. He knows how to sit, down, High Five, Leave it, wait and go to bed. He also knows the command, Go outside and go potty. He is housebroke, and crate trained. Loves peanut butter in Kong's. Loves to snuggle. Does not like having his nails trimmed. He likes children but he forgets how big he is and wants to play. He plays with other dogs but is nervous and protective if approached at a park etc. Off leash he is nervous/wants to play. We have not tested him with other dogs here yet. He fears or dislikes Dobermans. He wags his tail, tounge flops out and smiles when he is happy. As per the previous owner, He is a goober. Would love lots of room to run and play and maybe with a brother or sister.
He is a special needs dog as he does have Epilepsy and needs to take daily meds. This does not stop him for enjoying his life and living to a ripe ol age.
