Take a minute to read about Westie. Westie is a Chihuahua mix, about 4 years old and just as cute as he can possibly be.

Westie came from a local shelter, where he was taken in as a stray. He was so scared and timid. His foster mom settled in for a long “decompression and earning trust” period. Surprise! Within 2 days Westie’s sweet personality started to show through and he began to trust and cuddle, cuddle, cuddle!

Westie is fantastic with children and women but just a little bit timid towards men. Guys will have to wait a bit longer to earn his trust.

He is completely house trained, rarely barks and is great on a leash. He is a bit afraid of larger dogs but great with small dogs. He hasn’t been tested around cats. We recently found out that Westie can slip his lead when he's startled, so a fenced yard and secure leash is a must for this little guy.

Westie truly is a perfect pet according to his foster mom. If this sounds like the little dog you’re looking for, take a few minutes and complete an application. You won’t regret it!

Westie has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm, and has been microchipped.

We are committed to doing our part to control the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Until life goes back to normal, we will not be doing adoption events at PetSmart. Instead, we will be doing individual meetings by appointment and practicing social distancing at each meeting.
