Meet Wendy
Wendy, named after the place she was found.... you guessed it, behind a Wendy's scrounging for food. She most likely started her life on the streets of Texas - wandering for food and shelter. Wendy is one of those dogs who will remember where she came from and be forever thankful to the people who take her in - loyal and loving.
She is a little shy at first which is no surprise considering her backstory. It is best if you let her come to you when she is comfortable...but once she gets to know you, she will be your best friend.
She loves being around other dogs and immediately opens up around them. She is also comfortable around cats and kids - very gentle and non-reactive, unless you're a stuffed toy... those don't seem to fair out very well around Wendy and end up in many pieces. She loves her tougher toys and keeps herself entertained with playing.
Wendy is a supermutt mix - but her striking color patterns and soulful eyes and perfect compact size of 45lbs makes her a looker! She is about 1 1/2 years old and in great health.
Wendy is housebroken and is still learning to be crated, a little bit of a challenge for a dog born to roam. She would make a great family pet and good for a first-time pet owner since she is gentle and kind.
Please consider bringing Wendy home, a home she has waited long enough for.
