Adopt-a-BullBreed: Pit Bull Terrier Gender: Female Estimated Date of Birth: April 10, 2019 Size: 18 lbs Location: Canton, GA
We got a plea from our friends at Fulton County about a 3 month old puppy that was hit in the head with a metal pipe. She had some scrapes and scabs and a big ol' painful goose-egg on her noggin'. Lucky for Wendy, one of our amazing foster families stepped up and she got her freedom ride on July 9, 2019. Wendy has some severe swelling above her eye and looks like she lived on a chain as her neck is showing some signs of a collar that was too tight. Her X-rays show there may be a slight fracture to her sinus area. She will be on antibiotics and inflammatory medications, but we expect her to make a full recovery.
Wendy has fully recovered from her injury and is thriving in her foster home! She is almost fully house and crate trained, knows several commands, and is loving spending time with her furry foster siblings. Wendy has lots of puppy energy so she loves to play and take walks. Her favorite past time, however, is chasing her ball and chewing on her Nylabone (sometimes at the same time!) Wendy loves people and wants to please. She is learning basic manners, with a special focus on greeting humans by sitting rather than jumping. This is tough for a puppy, but Wendy is working hard to master this concept. She's also a champion snuggler and would love a home where the cuddles flow freely. We feel that Wendy will benefit from another dog in the home that she can continue to learn from and model after, but we also know this girl would make an ideal home for just about anyone!
