This two-month-old retriever mix is proof that even royalty can start in a ditch. Meet Little Walter, affectionately known as Wally, the sweet and playful pup rescued from the Lone Star State with his littermates. He's got that perfect puppy blend of zoomies and chill, a true master of the "play hard, nap hard" philosophy. This little dude is also smart as a whip and eager to please, which means potty training should be a walk in the park (or at least a quick trip to the backyard).

Walter is friendly, but he's also a discerning gentleman. He might take a minute to assess new people before showering them with puppy kisses. Think of him as the canine equivalent of a velvet rope policy – everyone's welcome, but he likes to do a quick vibe check first. He's adaptable and adjusts to new environments quickly, so whether you live in a bustling city or a quiet suburb, he'll feel right at home.

This little guy loves kids and plays well with other dogs, but he's also perfectly content to be a solo superstar. He's an independent pup who doesn't need a furry sibling to be happy, but he's certainly not opposed to having one. And he's got a secret soft side! When the other pups get too rowdy, Wally retreats to a quiet spot for some zen time. Cats? The jury's still out on that one. He hasn't met any feline friends yet, so introductions would need to be slow and supervised.

Leash training and crate training are on the to-do list, but Walter is a quick learner and eager to please. He's basically a blank canvas, ready for you to paint the picture of his perfect life. He'll tolerate handling but may need some reassurance, so gentle pets and soothing words are his love language.

Walter is the kind of pup who will thrive in a loving family that understands the joys and challenges of raising a puppy. Walter is currently being fostered in VA and will be transported to his forever home by our rescue! We have transports departing each week!
