Walter Shepherd & Mastiff Mix Charlotte, NC

Meet Walter! This handsome guy is ready to start the search for his forever! Walter is a 6 month old Shepherd Mix and weighs about 32 lbs. We were told that one of his parents was a Mastiff so there is a chance he could grow to be a big guy!
Walter is doing great in his foster home and learning fast. He is doing really well with potty training. He often will sit at the door if he needs to go out. He is working on his leash skills but does get tempted to chase his outdoor cat friends (in a playful way?). Walter is not a big fan of being in the crate because he would much rather be keeping his people company. He is doing pretty well at night but is still learning that it’s ok to hang alone for short amounts of time during the day.
Walter has a fun and playful puppy personality! He loves to play fetch and really wants to be friends with the cats at his foster home. His feelings get a little hurt when they don’t really want to play back. He also gets along with kids but if you have little ones keep in mind that he is a puppy and puppies do things like nip and jump. Walter is easily redirected but young kids should be supervised.

An adoption fee of $250 includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip, flea and heartworm preventatives if appropriate, and all necessary medical costs while in our care.
