Meet Walter

You ain’t nothing but a Hound dog, crying all the time. “WHAT!” would say Walter, you can’t mean that! Walter may have that houndy howl but he’s far from a crier. He’s handsome, good tempered, nosey, curious, friendly with the world and ready to hang out on the front porch with you and watch the world go by. Hounds are not strictly hunting dogs and make excellent family pets. Walter would like you to know that his sleep is precious to him as is his food, and he gets grouchy when woken up. Let sleeping dogs lie is a very important saying for him. When he's eating, just leave him alone. Walter was adopted but returned due to a death in the family. He lived with another dog and was good with him. He is crate trained and goes to the door when he needs to go potty. He loves to be brushed and runs up to greet you when you come home. His nose does get the best of him so keep him contained outside or he'll be off and exploring. He is an affectionate dog! We promise, you’ll love him! Apply today!

My adoption fee is $100.00. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Erlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption. CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home. CCHS has been inspected and licensed by the Department of Animal Health - DATCP. Our license is #268235-DS
