Meet Wally (Benefactor dog)

Hi, I'm Wally. I'm a 6 year old Corgi looking for a new home to live out the rest of my life with. I'm a distinguished gentleman and would love to be the center of your world and follow you around everywhere you go.

I am VERY people friendly but not always a fan of other dogs so I prefer to be the only one in the home to get your undivided attention. I can be pretty lazy on walks, so I please ask you to keep this in mind unless you want to carry me back like the king I am.

Listen, I know I am beyond adorable and I would apply to adopt me too but let me tell you a few things first: I can sometimes get a sensitive stomach so I just need to stick to a specific dog food and I take (extremely affordable) allergy medication daily to help keep my reverse sneezing under control. In the event I do need to be around other dogs, just keep my food & toys separate and I'll be good to go!

If you want a dog that will be on vacuum duty while you cook, be a couch potato with you after work or on the weekends, doesn't require a lot of exercise, and will take the best photos of any dog you've ever met, I'm your guy.

With these model good-looks, I won't be available for adoption long I'm sure. Apply to meet me today!

This dog is a Benefactor Dog. His/her increased adoption fee will allow them to act as a benefactor to other dogs in our care that require special medical care and a better chance at adoption.

PLEASE READ BELOW:

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to please visit our website to complete an application and read all of our FAQs: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt

**Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information.

2022 Benefactor Adoption Fee Scale:
Benefactor Puppies under 12 months - $550
Benefactor Dogs over 12 months - $450

*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!

For additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets, see our FAQs page: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/faq

*Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as Pet Finder, and are no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.
