Wally Boxer Shakopee, MN

This scared but sweet boy was found as a stray in central Kentucky. The people who found him could not keep him any longer and reached out for rescue help. We are so thankful to the ladies at The Way Home Rescue Alliance for contacting us to help him and for getting him picked up and taken to Heartland so we could get him all caught up on his vetting and get him neutered and microchipped. He is on the surgery schedule for Tuesday and then we will get him to his Kentucky foster home to get to know him better. So far we know that he is good with other dogs and prefers female humans over male humans. We don't know what this poor boy has been through but we will give him all of the time that he needs to help him feel safe, comfortable and loved.11/9 UPDATE: Wally was neutered yesterday and had a small bump removed from under his arm (that was just an infected cyst) and he did fantastic! His foster mom picked him up at the clinic a little bit ago and they have arrived home. He did very well on the drive and also very well with brief intros with all of the resident dogs.
