Von Ruger is a 7 year old GSD who came to us as an owner surrender, he needed medical attention they were unable to provide.

He lived his entire life with children, never lived with other animals, but has done well meeting other dogs. He likes to say hello and then go about his way.

He is highly intelligent and will open doors to follow where you have gone. Sits outside the bathroom door waiting on your return and keeps watch out the window for people going past the house.

Von Ruger does have "Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) is a condition characterized by deficiency of the exocrine pancreatic enzymes, resulting in the inability to digest food properly, or maldigestion."

Von Ruger's meals have to be treated with enzyme's, waiting 20 minutes before feeding in order for his body to digest the food properly. In managing his meals, he will live a long, happy life as your bestie.

From Foster Mom: "Von Ruger is a smart, friendly, handsome GSD. He prefers to be near us but sleeps in “his room” just fine. Fully house trained and will let us know when he wants to go outside. He seems friendly with all of the dogs at the fence. Greets them and comes right back when we call him. Loves his meal time, going on walks (although he pulls a bit but we’re working on it), and he may be slightly obsessed with his ball and playing fetch. Which is a good thing since we are limiting his treats. He knows basic commands and is already showing us he’s ready to learn more."
