Meet Vixen

** If not spayed/neutered prior to adoption, you (the adopter) will be held to a spay/neuter contract to ensure the pet is fixed once eligible and safe for the dog. The cost of the procedure is covered in the adoption fee. THIS WILL NOT BE A BREEDING DOG. If you are looking for a dog to keep unaltered or use for breeding, please seek elsewhere. Thank you for your understanding **

Vixen is around 3-4 months old as of late March. She currently weighs approximately 10 pounds (as of 3/17) and is estimated to be under 18 lbs fully grown. She has the most adorable little legs. She is EXTREMELY friendly and adores meeting new people and other dogs. Vixen would be an ideal family pet, as she loves to cuddle and sit in laps. She would love nothing more than to live a life with plenty of playtime and snuggles. Vixen is a typical curious, active, happy, friendly, sociable, trainable puppy. She is such a lovebug and would do best in a home looking for an affectionate social butterfly.

Please do NOT call to ask if this puppy is available for adoption. If this listing is still posted then we are still accepting applications. Please read the narrative in it's entirety. Please note our adoption procedures are explained in GREAT DETAIL BELOW. READ, READ, READ. Thank You. . . . . The best match will be selected and contacted to confirm an appointment at Petsmart in Yorba Linda on Saturday between noon and 3 pm or on a mutually agreeable day, time and place. We do not do out-of-state adoptions for puppies and we cannot hold puppies; please submit your application when you are ready to adopt.

The adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, core vaccinations including rabies and 4 sets of distemper/parvo and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc. The adoption fee for a puppy is generally $495 - $525.

Puppies are not house-trained although they may have begun crate-training and/or potty pad training in their foster home, depending on their age. House-training is a process that will need to be completed by their adopter. Puppies, if left unsupervised and not redirected will develop negative behaviors such as using the restroom in the wrong place, chewing, barking, whining, etc. Please be sure to do research on raising a puppy and be sure that you are prepared to do so. This is a great article from 3LostDogs that explains the trials and tribulations of puppyhood: http://3lostdogs.com/things-wish-everyone-knew-before-they-get-dog-2/
