Viviana's Story
**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

Hiiii my name is Viviana! I am a 3 month old 6 lbs puppy who is assumed to be a Chihuahua-dachshund mix. I recently made my travels to upstate NY with my sisters from Puerto Rico.

I am a sweet girl who needs time to show you my silly and playful personality. I prefer slow introductions and coming to you when I am ready and you show me you’re nothing to be afraid of. I am typically a little nervous (shake and try to back way from people when first meeting them) but once I feel comfortable you are in for a treat! Speaking of treats I LOVE them almost as much I love cuddling on the couch next to you, laying on my favorite spot on the couch, or playing with squeaky toys. I am crate trained and don’t have accidents when taken out regularly. I also ride well in the car. I am looking for a family that will understand that I need time and space to decompress as well as training to build my confidence. I should do well with dogs that are respectful of my boundaries and kids who also are respectful of my boundaries.

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
