Vivian White German Shepherd & Husky Mix Rockville, MD

Vivian is a beautiful ten month old Shepherd Husky mix. She weighs around 75 to 80 lbs and has more growing to do.

For any Husky or Husky mix, we recommend secure TALL fencing to contain a dog, unless the pup is ALWAYS leashed.

Vivian has recently arrived to Maryland. She is still settling in/decompressing and getting to know her foster family. So far, her foster mom says:

Vivian is so smart. She is very loving. She can't get enough attention. She sits to get her leash on and off. She knows heel with prompting and will stop pulling. However, she is jealous of sharing her people's attention. She should not be in a home with smaller dogs. She is nervous around my big teddy bear of a hubby-hopefully this will subside as she gets a chance to settle in. She does ok without being crated at night as long as she has her toy to chew on. She does not seem to like being crated when she is home alone- and will bark. Again, hopefully this will subside as she gets a chance to settle in and feel safe.

She is a lovely girl that wants to please and does well one on one. Though she was always with other dogs at the shelter, she appears to be jealous with other dogs inside a home. If Vivian is adopted to a home with other dogs, the adopter MUST be able to separate the pups, be willing to crate her and or be able to keep their own dogs contained during the transition period. Vivian has spent months at the shelter and must be given the opportunity to adjust. She will not do well with a dominant dog.
