Hi my name is Violet. I’m a sweet but shy girl who is slowly learning that the world is not so bad. I weigh about 40 pounds.

Before coming into foster, I was not given the opportunity to meet new people or leave my small space, and because of a lack of important experiences, I’m still quite afraid. I’ve been blessed with a second chance and my loving foster family is helping me acclimate to “the good life.”

Since joining New Hope Dog Rescue, I’ve come a long way. If given the space to explore on my own terms, I will approach people to be pet or to play. I see my foster family enjoying TV on the couch and I’m too curious to not come for a visit.

I’m a very good house guest and have great manners. I prefer bones and dog toys to shoes or furniture. I’m quiet, house trained, and crate trained. I really like going for walks and am great on a leash. I run to the door when it’s time for a stroll around the neighbourhood and will even jump into the car to go for a ride. I love other dogs and am great at making new pup pals.

My foster family has worked very hard to bring me out of my shell and build my confidence so they would like me to be adopted to someone eager to continue with their patient, loving, and gentle training. I don’t know if I will ever be comfortable with loud sounds and bustling environments so I might not be the best fit for families with young children or babies. I’ve had a lot of fun playing with my foster family’s resident dogs and I think I would do well in a home with another sweet but confident dog.

My foster family says I’m a lovely little lady that can not be rushed into this big new world. With love and patience, my new family will have the awesome experience of witnessing me blossom.

Adoption fee is $295. Violet is spayed. microchipped, dewormed and current on vaccines.
