Meet Vinny

Hey New York it’s me Vinny. I am a 6-7 year old Chi/Pug mix who weighs 14 pounds. I started out as a southern boy but made my way to Staten Island and realized I am a true New Yorker at heart. Although I’m a little nervous around new people and situations I do come around quickly, especially if you have cheese. A few pieces of cheese or any tasty treats and will be friends in no time. My foster mom says I’m a couch potato but I’m definitely not limited to napping on only couches. Dog beds, blankets, a chase lounge in the sun by the pool, I’m not picky. Although I am lower energy and a good size for an apartment I’m a little bit on the noisy side so a private house would be best at this point. I really like to let everybody know that I’m in town and barking is my best way to do that. Otherwise I’m a pretty easy-going guy who gets along well with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. I’m very respectful of others space but I do like a cuddle on the couch with another dog. I haven’t met a cat yet but I think I might like them. If you’re looking for a mellow friend who just wants to enjoy life with you then I’m your guy. Fill out an application today and let’s start becoming best friends.

Adoption fee is $500. Vinny Is being fostered in Staten Island

To adopt this pet, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt

All of our dogs come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the dog you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where dogs can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting a dog in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Thanks so much for caring about a needy animal!
