Meet Vinny

Vinny Came to HAL as a stray and we believe he is a terrier mix around a year old. He currently weighs 60 pounds.He is not for the first time dog owner. When Vinny came into our shelter he was a lot to handle, he had a high prey drive, mouthy habits and more energy than he knew what to do with. Since then we have worked with him daily, using positive reinforcement, patience and lots of love. In addition to starting him on a medication that helps to calm his mind, the combination has made him an entirely different dog! He's now loving and calm and we've found he loves the water. He also loves playing in the sprinkler, playing with other dogs, and sunbathing in the yard! Due to his past habits we would like to ensure that he does not go to a home with live stock big or small, no cats or small critters but he would love to have a canine companion.
His adoption fee is $175 this includes his neuter, UTD on his vaccines, a micro chipped free 30 day trial of pet health insurance, free vet visit within the first two weeks of adoption and free custom engraved ID tag. Vinny will need to be on his medication (Fluoxetine) for the rest of his life, taking him off is not an option and an adopter needs to be prepared for the cost of the medication. (it's inexpensive)
