Meet Vida

Hi everyone, I’m Vida! I’m 3 months old and humans say I look like Terrier/Boston/Boxer/
Spaniel mix. Whatever I am, I’m a ton of fun! They say I should grow to be medium sized. Right now, I weigh 15 lbs.

My foster mom says I’m super smart cuz just in 14 days I learned how to potty outside, sit, come, off and stay. She says I have to learn my manners. Oh, I can kinda fetch too!

I really like my furry foster sister. She taught me how to wrestle and play tug of war. It’s super fun!!! She also taught me how to go up and down the stairs cuz before I saw her do it, I was scared.

I’m kinda teething right now, so my foster mommy bought me lots of things I’m allowed to chew on cuz it makes my teeth feel better. If I chew on something I’m not allowed to chew, she says “No, No” and gives me a toy. It’s awesome!

I really love my crate. That’s where I sleep at night time. When it’s chill time or nap time, I don’t mind hanging out in there. I keep it nice and clean, I make sure I don’t go potty in there. My foster mom says she’s very proud of me for keeping it clean!

Before I met my foster mommy a human took me for a ride in a car in the rain. When we got to a place he set me and my bed outside and left. It was raining SO hard! I didn’t like getting wet and the sky was loud and grumbling. There was big loud cars and trucks that scared me too! I don’t know why the human dumped me in the rain.

The next day some nice ladies saw me outside and took me inside to get dry and fed me some food too. I’m so glad the found me! They told me about this thing called a Loving Forever Home. It sounds so nice and I can’t wait to find one!!! That’s why I have to practice my manners and my outside potty’s. If you like me, I would love a play date! This sweetheart is ready for a forever home!

Please note: as with most rescue puppies, we have no way to guarantee this puppy’s breed or size potential.

PLEASE READ BELOW:

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to please visit our website to complete an application and read all of our FAQs: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt

**Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for puppies covers initial deworming, puppy vaccinations, microchip, and spay/neuter at the rescue's approved vet at 6 months of age. Please see our website for more information.

2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months - $350
Dogs over 12 months - $250

For additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets, see our FAQs page: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/faq

*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our puppies live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!

**Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as Pet Finder, and are no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.
