Meet Veronica
Meet Veronica, or Ronnie for short. This girl was a star at the Labor Day Parade, greeting people all up and down the parade route, smiling all the way.
Ronnie is an 8 year old Pit Bull mix, housebroken and crate-trained. She was a perfect fit for the parade because she loves walks and is friendly and tolerant with other dogs and people, including children. She’s not crazy about car rides but can be distracted with a peanut butter Kong. Ronnie is on anxiety medication to help her deal with stressors (like those car rides and cats).
A good match for Ronnie would be someone who doles out attention, belly rubs, and ear scratches in generous amounts. Also, ideally, someone who enjoys a rousing game of fetch. She enjoys bones and playing with her toys. Clearly smart, she’s already mastered sit and stay.
Gentle, loving, and calm, Ronnie will be a great family member. Because she has a loud bark, she would do best in a single family home. Come meet her this Saturday!
Please check our events page at http://www.SecondCityCanineRescue.org to find where Ronnie may be shown this weekend. If you are interested in adopting this sweet, sweet dog, you must send an application or email us at adoptions@sccrescue.org prior to a Saturday Adoption Event so we know you plan on attending. If we do not receive any communication from you, she may be adopted out at our event prior to 1 pm if the perfect home comes along :-) Also, we only adopt our animals out near Chicagoland... we are sorry but we cannot accept any out of state applications. We look forward to speaking with you!
