Vera might be small, but she’s all heart. At just 4 months old, she’s already a certified Good Girl in training. Potty trained? Yep. Sleeps through the night? You bet. Loves other dogs? Obsessed. Vera came to Colorado from a shelter in Texas where she landed on the euth list because of a simple, treatable skin issue. She’s healed up and thriving now, and she’s learning quickly that life can be full of kindness. This girl is sharp, food motivated, and eager to learn. She’s picking up crate training and basic obedience and is already a pro at making people laugh with her puppy zoomies. She lives with young kids and does well, though she prefers when tiny humans move at a predictable speed. Vera is sweet, sensitive, and ready for a family who will cheer her on as she continues to grow in confidence. Someone out there is going to be very lucky to call her theirs. Colorado Animal Care Foundation's Adoption Policy

Individuals interested in adopting one of our dogs must complete the Adoption Application on our website. If you meet our requirements and appear to be a good match for one of our dogs, we may schedule a home visit and/or interview with one of our volunteers. Only then will you be able to meet a prospective placement. Be advised, we will not place a dog in an environment which we feel will not be a permanent placement, please respect our decisions in this matter, that does not mean that you would not be a good match for another dog.
