Meet Velma! She was surrendered to us at our Fall Spay/Neuter clinic after being found as a stray with a bump on her noggin! We aren't sure where she got this bump but we're keeping a close eye on it and allowing it time to heal up. Velma is a super sweet puppy who loves dog and human friends. She is working on all the puppy basics in her foster home like crate and potty training. She is going to be a wonderful addition to a home looking for some puppy love!

Thinking of adopting a puppy? Please consider the amount of time and attention that will need to be dedicated to raising a dog from puppyhood. Committing time every day to helping them to learn to love the world around them i.e. people, animals, sights, sounds, smells, objects etc is of the utmost importance to raising a well adjusted dog. Puppies that are not well socialized to the world around them can develop fear and anxiety later in life. Before considering adopting a puppy please make sure that you have the time and patience to dedicate to a puppy!

To set up a meet and greet, please fill out a dog adoption application ASAP or if you have already submitted one with us, call/email to put your name in line. We will form a line like usual based on who has an active and approved application in. Please note, Animal Adoption Center cannot guarantee the breed, composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have no history prior to them entering the rescue. We make every effort to ensure the dogs are healthy. Please know that our intention is to insure long lasting committed homes for the animals at the AAC. If we feel that an animal and a potential owner are not a good fit we reserve the right to refuse adoption.
