Velma Hound Mix Palatine, IL

Beautiful inside and out, that's Velma! This Hound mix is about 3 years old and 42 pounds of love in an absolutely gorgeous package.

Accident free if kept on a schedule, a non-barker and a non-chewer, Velma is a wonderful house guest. She takes a few minutes to settle into her crate, but does well after that and sleeps there all night. During the day she prefers an array of dog beds or the floor, never having ventured to the furniture.

She hasn't mastered any commands just yet, but she's a fast learner and is working on several. Velma should be fairly easy to train with treats as she LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to eat and will happily gulp down any food you put in front of her.

Velma's greatest goal in life is to give and receive love. That's it. That's all she asks. Just looking at Velma will cause her tail to go into spasms. She prefers naps to toys, loves to sniff and observe the world around her on walks and prefers her chew toys to be durable.

Described by her foster family as a super happy, sweet couch potato and the happiest dog they've had the pleasure of fostering, you simply cannot pass this sweet girl by!
