Van Wrinkle Pug & Boston Terrier Mix Gardena, CA

Van Wrinkle's story started in a crowded kill-shelter, where he ended up after being found as a stray. Though he's not technically a pug, we couldn't leave him behind and rushed to bring him into our rescue. At around 7 years old, Van Wrinkle is tall and slender, weighing only 17 pounds. When he first arrived, he was understandably nervous and unsure of what the future held. It seemed like he had spent a long time without the love or care that every dog deserves.

Thankfully, those anxious days are behind him, and Van Wrinkle has blossomed into a certified lover boy! This sweet guy is all about attention--whether it's a treat, a pat on the head, or just a kind look, he'll trot over with his tail wagging and maybe even let out an excited yip or whine, hoping for more affection. He adores belly rubs and loves soaking up the sunshine whenever he can. He's one of those dogs that makes everyone around him smile with his gentle and loving nature.

As he's approaching his senior years, Van Wrinkle has started to show some of the usual signs of aging, the most notable being his dental health. He's got some teeth that need attention, but don't worry--he's scheduled for a dental cleaning soon, and we know he'll feel so much better afterward. He also has a small mass on his gums, but that will be removed during his dental procedure as well.

We believe Van Wrinkle is a mix of Boston Terrier and Pug, with adorable Dalmatian-like spots on his front legs. He's great with people and other dogs, making him a wonderful companion for just about any home.
