Valerie Golden Retriever & Chow Chow Mix Chattanooga, TN

Valerie is a 1 year old mystery mix of what he think may be retriever and some other beautiful breeds. She weighs 35 pounds.

We pulled this precious girl off the euthanasia list from a county shelter that was overcrowded in April and have enjoyed watching her flourish and be given a chance at the good life while she is with us as she awaits her forever home. Valerie loves all humans including kids and is learning her manners to not jump up on people to greet them. She LOVES water and is always splashing around in her doggie pool.

Valerie is always paired up with another dog and loves to socialize with her canine friends but can be a little bossy if her circle gets too big. We don’t know how she does with cats but can always test her if requested.

Valerie is housebroken, kennel trained, spayed, up to date on vaccines and preventatives and would love a home that will show her the city and explore all that Chattanooga has to offer as she hasn’t had much exposure to life outside of the shelter, unfortunately, and was very fearful on her last outing.

Today, one of our volunteers took Valerie on a hike and she did wonderfully! She would make the perfect trail buddy and she rides great in the car, too!

We're open Wednesday - Sunday 12 - 5 p.m but are doing meet & greets and adoptions by appointment only.

The adoption fee is $135 which includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption at local participating vets, up to date vaccinations, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, dewormer, flea preventative, microchip, & spay or neuter.
