Valentine Jack Russell Terrier Mix Lowell, MA

Valentine is a very sweet and friendly boy with so much love to give. This 11-year-old Jack Russell mix wants to spend all of his time and energy with you! Valentine loves to take walks, play with chew toys, sit on your lap, cuddle and be your best friend 24/7. Because he loves being with people so much, Valentine becomes anxious when left alone and is looking for an owner who can help him overcome his fears and practice being calm. For the past several weeks, Valentine has spent his days in a foster home working on counterconditioning and desensitization exercises with his foster dad to help with his separation anxiety.

Valentine is making great progress and will be very happy to find an owner who is willing to continue working on these exercises and explore additional methods with him as well. Someone who spends a lot of time at home, and maybe even someone experienced with working with anxious dogs would be a great match for Valentine. If you are looking for a dog that you can spend plenty of time cuddling and petting, Valentine might be the right fit for you! This sweet boy would love to go to a home with older kids or teens, and could potentially do well with another dog depending on the resident dog's personality and size. Valentine is looking for a home that is cat/small animal-free as he has a lot of energy and a strong prey drive.
