Uri Shepherd Mix New Haven, CT

Uri is a 4.5 month old, 25 lb male Shepherd mixed breed.

Uri is currently located in South Texas and will be transported to his new home.

Uri is a young, brave little pup. As a tiny puppy, he was attacked by a larger animal, but was able to get himself to safety. He is now fully healed and a growing pup. His sister Ulissa was also attacked, but like Uri she was rescued and now shares his foster home. Uri started out timid, but has outgrown that and is now affectionate with them. Although he has come to know the foster's large and friendly dog, and is quite comfortable with him, Uri still occasionally appears to have dreams of the attack. It was a traumatic event to happen to such a young pup, so his adoptive family should keep that in mind during dog interactions in the future. Having said that, Uri is sweet and playful and really just a normal puppy; he loves naps, toys and treats, in no particular order. He is crate and potty trained too. He is starting to venture outdoors and enjoys spending time outside. He likes going to the beach! Uri can be a little reactive when on a walk, but with training and patience, he can overcome this. His foster family is dedicated to helping him grow and overcome his past, and the little guy is very happy to participate in all life has to offer. His foster family is working with a trainer to help these little pups build their confidence and trust in people, and grow up to be sweet and loving pets. Uri would love the opportunity to find his own home and family, and grow into a beloved family member.

Faith and Hope is an established rescue group based in Texas but delivers to multiple states on the East and West Coast. All dogs and cats are rescued from the state of Texas to be transported to Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Connecticut, Virginia, Maryland, and others, with placement in their adoptive family’s homes. Our $700 adoption fee includes all core vaccinations (DHPP, rabies) spay/neuter, microchip and transportation fees.
