Meet Uma:: 3 years old, 71 pounds, Female German Shepherd Dog.

Available for Adoption!

Uma is just the best-est girl! She is always looking to please her people and always up for a good cuddle session at any given time, and with anyone around, she doesn't know a stranger! She is great with the other dogs and couldn't care less about their dog savvy cat. Uma is gentle with people and children, and she would do best if any children in the home are over 5 and experienced with dogs. Uma is housebroken, walks fairly well on a leash and does well when crated. Uma would do best with a family who has experience with German Shepherd or similar breeds and can accommodate her activity level. Ideally, Uma’s forever home would have a 6 ft tall fence since she is quite athletic and is able to jump shorter fences.

$165 Adoption Fee.

All Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, heartworm tested, current on heartworm and flea prevention, and microchipped.

Along with other criteria evaluated in the adoption application, a Fenced Yard is required to adopt.

Our adoption area, unless otherwise specified in their bio, is within a two hour radius of Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue for adult dogs, and within a one hour radius for puppies.

Adoption events are held every Saturday in our thrift store from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Please complete your adoption application in advance so our volunteers have time to screen and contact potential adopters.

IMPORTANT: All applications are reviewed in the order they are received and qualifications are based on best fit for each individual pet. A volunteer will contact you if you are selected for a meet with adoptable pet. Final approval is always made in person.
