Meet Uki
Uki came to us in January after she was dumped at a shelter in active labor. She had one precious baby but once dropped at the shelter, she was so frightened that she stopped her own labor. One of our Hero foster families stepped up and we had her safe and sound in a foster home within 24 hours. Shortly after arriving in foster care, Uki delivered a 2nd puppy but unfortunately it was stillborn. Our fosters jumped into action and got her to one of our ER vets to see if she had any viable puppies yet to be born and to everyone’s surprise, there was a heartbeat! She was able to deliver a live heathy puppy. Uki was a fantastic mom and now her two puppies have moved on to their forever homes but Uki is still looking.
Uki is a young, active Husky mix. We think she is about 4 years old, she’s medium build and is absolutely beautiful. Uki needs to run and play so, a home with a fenced yard is a must. She does well with other dogs that are smaller than her but has clashed with larger dominant dogs. We would not suggest her with cats or very small children as she can be mouthy (not aggressive but could be scary for a little one)

Your Current Pets - We do require that all of your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.
Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a homecheck prior to adoption.
