Tyrion Basset Hound Mix Gig Harbor, WA

Handsome Tyrion is 2 years old and weighs about 40 pounds. We think he is a Basset Hound mixed with maybe lab? He definitely has many Basset Hound characteristics so being familiar with that breed is a plus. He is affectionate and friendly. He loves his walks and likes playing tug of war with the other dog in the foster home. He needs a home with a fenced yard as like all scent hounds, he will follow his nose. Tyrion needs to go to an all adult household or one with older teenagers as he is very uncomfortable around younger children. He will make a wonderful companion dog for the right household.

We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date with current vaccinations, before being placed in their forever homes.

FOSTER HOMES NEEDED! We are always looking for good foster homes. Our rescue is foster based and we can always save more dogs if we have foster homes for them to go into. It is not a long term commitment. We have been able to find good forever homes in a short time. We also welcome volunteers who can help transport dogs and help with our outreach and fund raising efforts. Please contact us if you can help.
