Twyla Rose Pit Bull Terrier Mix Buffalo, NY

My name is Twyla Rose and I have been living in a foster home since mid May. I’m a 5yr old Bully Breed and weigh approximately 60lbs. I’m housebroken, not an enormous fan of a crate (but will go in one), but do love sleeping and relaxing with my blanket on my raised dog bed. I know basic commands, love walks, hanging out in the yard, and especially love playing fetch with my Kong or tennis ball. I love all the people I meet properly and even children 10 and up too. I was cat tested and had no interest in them at all.
I only have a couple things that I don’t like so much.
1- I don’t like being surprised by strangers. I will bark at them to stay away until they meet me the right way. Within 10 seconds they become my new favorite person.
2- I prefer to be the only dog in the home at this time, and will only be adopted out to a home with no dogs. I can definitely tolerate and don’t mind other dogs on walks or right next to me, but I don’t take correction from others dogs at all. My foster mom says that if you’re willing to hire a trainer and put in the proper work, maybe someday I wouldn’t have to be the only dog in the home. I even got to hang out on lead with one of my foster siblings that reside in my foster home. That’s him in the picture with me.
