Meet Twinkie
Meet Twinkie!
Twinkie is a Labrador Retriever mix that is estimated to be around 8 years old. She found her way to the HSLC after she was found as a stray. For size reference, she is petite and weighs 50 pounds. Twinkie is a friendly girl. She is nervous and timid in the noisy kennel environment. She comes out of her shell the longer she is with her human friends. She enjoys affection and loves scratches! Twinkie walks well on a leash on her walks to the play yard. She enjoys sniffing around independently but stays close by to her handler. Twinkie is gentle and would make a good family dog. She would prefer older kiddos, as she can be spooked easily. Twinkie would most likely feel comfortable having another canine companion but would also be perfectly content as the queen of the castle! Canine siblings would depend upon a meet and greet. Twinkie portrays a high prey drive on walks, so no feline friends, please!
