Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered, special needs. Tux has Cushing's Disease which requires daily medication and costs about $75 a month. Due to the Cushings, Tux gets itchy, scaly skin and requires weekly medicated baths to keep him comfortable. During his time with City of Elderly Love, Tux had a bout of pneumonia and it was discovered he had a neuroendocrine malignant tumor on his lung which was removed. During treatment, the specialists found a mass on his spleen and one on his intestines. There haven't been any signs of metastasis but Tux should receive routine checkups to continue managing his Cushings and monitor his overall health.

MEET TUX!

This sweet little guy is a 12-13 year old Boston Terrier who made his way to City of Elderly Love after his beloved owner passed away. Fortunately, Tux had a soft place to land in an amazing foster home and now has a second chance at finding the perfect retirement home! Tux does have some medical needs that his future family will need to take into consideration, but he's well worth it!

Tux is a total snuggler who likes to be held like a baby. He loves to chill with his people but also has no separation anxiety if left alone. Tux is a dog bed aficionado and a total couch potato. While he is low energy, he does have his silly side too especially when he gets a chance to play with the cat's laser pointer. He's currently living in foster care with other dogs, cats and kids. He's not much of a playmate, but he'll gladly snuggle on the couch with them! Tux is housebroken but may have occasional accidents if he doesn't get frequent enough bathroom breaks; belly bands help if needed.
