TUG's Story

Meet TUG, affectionately known as Tuggy. She is 11-year-old (DOB 08/31/2014), German Shepherd Dog/Chocolate Lab mixed girl who is most devoted to her people! Her beautiful Tri-brown coat is movie star perfect!

This amazing 11 year old, still very spry, gal was adopted to an even more amazing owner in May! It was a dream come true as Tug had been with us for years. Unfortunately, her owner passed away recently and she is in need of another loving home. Tug kept her owner going through a devastating cancer diagnosis post adoption. She was his world, they were a beautiful team.

Tug is an older dog that has a complete clear bill of health. Only thing she takes daily are her doggy vitamin’s and treats, lots and lots of treats! She is a simple girl only needing a couch, a yard and someone to give her lots of belly rubs and pets. She is the best companion! You will not meet a sweeter, kinder soul. She is extremely cuddly and loves nothing better than snuggling on the couch. She also enjoys sleeping with her owner in bed. She likes learning tricks and knows sit, down, spin, under and shake. She also LOVES to be vacuumed with her doggy vacuum that keeps her coat so gorgeous!

She does need to be the only dog and a country setting would be best fit! The city life and sounds are not for this gal.

In final days, all her person was worried about was his girl going back to the shelter. A volunteer that was helping with Tug promised him we would take care of her! Sharing power needed to send his beloved Tug to her next home instead of bringing her back to our shelter!

She previously lived with cats but it was noted that she did not bond to them and would growl if they were in her space.

Any interest will go through Adopt a Pet’s screening and adoption process to ensure the best placement!

If you have any other questions, email is the best method of communication. We are 100% volunteer-run and operated and are open by appointment only. Please send us an email or submit an application if you'd like to make an appointment we'll be in touch as soon as we can! Thank you for your inquiry!

Qualified applications only. Should your application be accepted, a response will follow within 72 hours. If you have not heard back from Adoptions, your application did not meet the dog's criteria.

CONTACT INFORMATION:
Email: adoptapetadoptions@gmail.com
Telephone: (360) 432-3091 OPTION 5

Please copy & paste Application: https://form.jotform.com/40419164974157

All AAP dogs come up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
