Meet TUG

If you're looking for a dog who already knows the ins and outs of being a great companion, consider Tug, an older (but still young at heart!) boxer mix. At 11, he still loves to entertain you with goofy playtime and a chorus of funny grumbles, yips, and rumbles. While he loves a good walk or game of toss here and there, he's also an excellent partner for relaxing on the couch at the end of the day.

Because Tug is so vocal, he needs an owner who understands his noises are nothing to be afraid of. Because he's lived a long and distinguished life, he sometimes stubbornly thinks he should get to sleep wherever he wants, and has no problem telling you about it! But firm and consistent direction go a long way in setting good boundaries for him. He's fine with kids and other dogs, but can be a bit guarded around food. He's just fine as long as he's got his own space in the room to eat.
